"HACHOOOO!"
People walking along the fully-bloomed path to school began to awkwardly clap as Moemi doubled over, coughing after her sneeze.

Rie gave a thumbs up.
"You win the loudest sneeze tournament," she said in her odd way of talking.

"Yay... Stupid allergies..." stuffy-nosed Moemi tried to at least smile..

"Stupid spring... wait, isn't that your favorite season, Haruko?" Moemi sniffled.

"Ptchoo!" Haruko sneezed a cute, kitten-like sneeze.
"Yea, it is." Haruko giggled, as Moemi noticed Haruko's nose was red too.
It just couldn't possibly be that such a springy, flowery type of girl was also cursed with...

"Allergies?" Moemi asked sympathetically.
Haruko nodded.

"POOR HARUKO!" Moemi thought.
"This girl loves spring, but every time it is Spring, she has to suffer through allergies..."

"Moemi, your eyes are watering." Haruko said.

Suddenly, a blue blur rapidly raced right across the path.
And it wasn't Sonic the Hedgehog.

"Setsuna, you're fast!" Haruko shouted.

Setsuna was still running, when suddenly she crouched to the ground in the corner of a fence and shivered.

"The bees are chasing me... Bees... bees, stupid bees!" she shouted.

Rie giggled. Moemi and Haruko looked at each other.
"Poor Setsuna."
"She must be really scared of bees."

Rie was inching closer to Setsuna, until she was right behind her.
"...bzzt." she made a noise like a bee and poked Setsuna's back.

"UGAAAAAAAUGH!" Setsuna screamed like a cat in a horror movie and frantically scampered across the grass as if she really were one.

"...RIE, WHY DID YOU SCARE ME LIKE THAT!" Setsuna said when she saw the giggling girl with the fresh-colored hair behind her.

"Setsuna, it wasn't me! That really was a bee!"

Setsuna began to whimper.

"Rie, you should really stop." Moemi said.

Setsuna got up and turned around, the earbuds on the end of her headphones flicked around her.
Out of the cornet of her eye, her headphone looked the exact same size, and bulging dark shape of the bees.
"AAAHHHH! Wait... my... headphones."

Setsuna slumped her shoulders down.
"UGH."

"It's okay Setsuna." Haruko pat her on the back.
"Bees make honey, after all! ...achoo!"

As the first period began to start, Rie thought to herself...
"Moemi and Haruko both have allergies, Setsuna is terrified of bees... I've never thought spring could be such a problem for some people."

Meanwhile, Moemi next to her had her face buried in her arms, like she was sleeping.
Typical Monday Moemi. In fact, she was sleeping. She was even having a dream.
Her cat, Nemui had grown giant, and all the little pollen particles Nemui had in his fur this time of year grew giant too.
The pollen floated up and trapped Moemi in a suspended trap of giant dots of pollen.

Suddenly, Moemi sprang up out of her desk, screaming
"You might make people sneeze, evil pollen, but I will put and end to you, once and for all! ..*achoo*!"

The entire class looked at Moemi.
Moemi grew shocked and sneezed again, but this time, the sun's rays shone through her sneeze, making a rainbow.

"Moemi sneezed a rainbow!" almost everyone said in unison.

"I wanna sneeze a rainbow too!" Haruko squealed.

Setsuna was smiling. It seemed like for now, she had forgotten about the bees.

Until...


"Setsunyan." Rie whispered during lunch, in the lunch line.

"Yes?" Setsuna turned around a replied, grateful that there seemed to be no bees...

"Just to tell you... bees are attracted to the color blue."

Setsuna jolted.

"Isn't that true, Shouko?" Rie turned to her.

"Y-yes..." Shouko appeared to be trembling, only everyone dismissed it, as she always was frightened of Rie.
"Bees... they usually never sting... things that aren't moving, and things that aren't blue."

"Oh no! Shouko said it, and she knows eeeveerythiiiing. So it must be true!"

Setsuna froze. Almost as if she were a statue, limply holding her plate of yakisoba.

"Bzzzz..." Rie buzzed in the background.

Setsuna began to whimper, and she suddenly dropped her plate and dashed straight to the background, while hyperventilating.

"Rie. That wasn't a nice thing to do." Haruko puffed out her cheek at her.

"I'll never forgive you for making me say such ridiculous false information with a straight face!" Shouko yelled.

"And you even used Shouko's fear of YOU to your advantage." Haruko did a little puppy-frown.

Shouko immideatly started crying, so Chise and Haruko patted her and fed her some cake.

Meanwhile, along with trying to conceal her bright blue hair in a badly-made towel turban, Setsuna also had the urge to use the toilet.
But, one of the biggest horrors known to the first world happened to happen to Setsuna, right then and there...

"THERE'S NO TOILET PAPER!"

The dreaded sight hit Setsuna like a thunderbolt to the brain.
And to make matters worse, she suddenly heard a sound... a buzzing sound, that started getting closer and closer...
The sound of...

"A BEEEEEE!!!!"

Setsuna panicked.
"NO TOILET PAPER! A BEE IN HERE! WHAT AM I GONNA DO!"

Setsuna looked around, and the only substitute she happened to have was...

"Oh no... I actually did my homework last night, and I have it with me, but... it's the only paper I have! And... I could use it as a subsitute for toilet paper, but...
NOT MY HOMEWORK! I'd rather DIE than turn it in after... USING it! Oh, THIS MEANS I ACTUALLY DID MY HOMEWORK LAST NIGHT FOR NOTHING!"

Suddenly, a huge, scary dot flew above her face.
Setsuna screamed... it was the BEE!
Her entire life began to flash before her eyes. She went dizzy. Lights became blurry.

"This... could be the end of me." Setsuna tearfully thought.

"Before I die... I want to say this.. about my friends.
Moemi. You were surely a rainbow, dancing through my clouds."

Setsuna's voice began to choke up.
"Haruko. Thank you for watering my dying buds. I wouldn't be in bloom right now if it weren't for you...
And Rie..."
Setsuna tried her best to not break down.

"Rie... I know you're not here with me, and I know you can't hear any of this, but I just want you to know... despite what goes between us, despite all I say... you are special to me..."
Setsuna took in a deep breath.

"And I... I..."


Suddenly, a voice in the next stall over called to her, breaking all the mood in the atmostphere.

"Hey." it said, casually. It was a strange voice.

Setsuna jolted. Who could possibly be in here at this time!?
Suddenly, a roll of toilet paper flew in from the top of opening of the stall, and it luckily drove the bee off as well!

"Here's some toilet paper!"

Setsuna was both thrown-off and embarrassed. But at least her problem had now been solved.

After Setsuna came out of the stall, she saw the girl in the next stall was... RIE!?

Rie held in some laughter and a bit of guilt.

"RIE! How long have you been here?" Setsuna felt extremely embarassed.
"And how did you change your voice like that. I couldn't tell who it was!"

Rie shrugged.
"...weird skill?"

"Anyway, I decided to follow you to the bathroom to say sorry. But then..." Rie giggled just a bit trying to explain.
"This happened... and it was... kinda funny. And to be fair, it would've been awkward to blurt out an apology right then and there. Then I felt really guilty and saw there was no TP in this stall either, so I took the toilet paper from another bathroom and threw it here."

Setsuna buried her face in total embarassment.
"By the way..." Setsuna said.
"You said sorry... for what did you apologize?"

"Well..." Rie said, shyly.
"I... kinda lied about bees being attracted to blue things, and well... I even talked poor Shouko into doing it too."

Setsuna gave the same blank stare from the cafeteria.
She limped over to the towels in the corner of the bathroom, smacked her face into it, and sobbed.

"Ah, Setsuna!" Rie walked towards her.
"It's okay... I was just being Riediculous. Please, cheer up... if I had known you would be this uncomfortable, I would've thought to not."

The sobbing Setsuna unexpectedly began to laugh.
"What... did you just say... 'RIE-diculous'?" She cracked up.

"Pfft... yeah." Rie laughed too.

"RIEdiculous, hahaha!" Setsuna was now laughing and crying at the same time.
"That is just TOO funny!"

Both girls shared a good laugh, when suddenly, Rie remembered

"By the way... what exactly have you always wanted me to know?"

Setsuna jolted like a cat who had just seen a dog.

"I... I WANTED TO TELL YOU THAT YOU'RE AN EVIL BOBOLINK."

Rie cracked up.

"That's all." Setsuna shouted.
"That's all, that's all, that's all!"

"Okay, okay..." Rie urged to calm down.
"And... I also want to know... what happened to your homework?"

Setsuna realized she no longer had it.

"Well, for sure I didn't USE it..." Setsuna began to ponder.
Suddenly, it came to her.
"Oh, shoot... I think I accidentally flushed my finished homework down the toilet!"

It's just... I thought this would be a funny situation OTL
I so apologize for the tasteless toilet thing :< but it was supposed to be funny, not "ewwwww" oAo

BUT REALLY YEAH
I'M TERRIFIED OF BEES
Poor Setsuna... really.
But don't worry, Rie and everyone took Setsuna for an ice cream party later to make up for it :tears:]
she deserves it

XD poor Setsuna...I have a high fear of bees and wasps myself so I can relate~ over all it was a cute and funny side story to your manga
