Haruko skipped around her roomy house, which was even bigger for such a small girl; she was excited about her and her friends' swimming trip the next day.
(Afterwards, Setsuna was (in a normal, kind way) convinced to change her outfit into that of a long blue tankini, and eventually felt comfortable in it.)
She found her old swimsuit in the back of her cozy closet.
And by old, I mean old. Haruko stopped growing all the way back in grade school, looking like the same kid for years to pass.
Her swimsuit was pink, childish, and had flowers scattered across it.
She put it on, and to her dismay... it fit perfectly.
Perfectly, just like the day she first got it.
Maybe even... too perfectly.
"...NOOOOOOOO"

"Moemi-chaaaaaan!" Haruko shouted into the phone.
"It's a disaster, m-my swimsuit it... it...!"
"Ah, I know the feeling!" Moemi picked up Haruko's statement.
"You grew out of it, didn't you! I grew out of my favorite one too!"
Suddenly, Setsuna and Rie entered the phone conversation simultaneously.
"IT'S TERRIBLE! I GREW OUT OF MY SLIM SPEEDO..." It was Rie's voice.
"Now I have to look GIRLY when I swim!"
"My strap doesn't even make it across my chest anymore!" Setsuna sobbed.
"I've grown everywhere but in my chest!" Moemi shouted.
Haruko whined.
"AAAAH, WHY AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO DIDN'T GET HER GROWTH SPUUURT?"
"...huh?" the other three girls said in unison.
"Um... I thought you liked being small!" Moemi tried to cheer her up.
"You don't have to grow out of things every year!" Setsuna said.
"It really isn't like you to be upset over this." Moemi said.
"But... I'm not a real girl until I expirience the pain of growing out of something!" Haruko answered.
"...Haruko sure has some weird goals in life."

The next day, everyone was at the store near the pool, looking for swimsuits.
"Haruko-chan, I think it should be time to have a new swimsuit though." Moemi said.
"Exactly, I'm going to get one!"
Suddenly, there was a laugh from the side.
"Now... what do you say about giving our audience some FAAAANSERVICE!?"
Rie emerged from the changing room, with a wink and a... rather exposing swimsuit.
"GYAAAAAAH!", were the screams of her friends in front of her.
"Oh come on.", Rie said, with ease.
"What's so scary or embarrassing about this?"
"No... Rie..." everyone else thought at once.
"We actually screamed because a small part of us that still doesn't see you as a girl got caught off-guard... by that..."
"Y-you idiot..." Setsuna muttered!
"Take off that disgusting... thing, a-and be sensible!" she said with crossed shoulders.
"Take it off?" Rie grew a creepy smile.
"But I'm wearing nothing under this..."
Setsuna cringed and slapped Rie; obviously she didn't mean "right here and now!"
"CAN YOU JUST ACT A BIT MORE MODEST AND CIVILIZED!?" she screamed.
"Now our audience is going to picture you NAKED, Rie!"
"Hm... is Setsuna blushing because of anger?"
"...I think this would be the right time for a scene switch." Moemi said, to Haruko, who were both standing awkwardly to the side.

"You know, you just can't have Nichijou no Niji fanservice without... Setsuna in it!" Rie said, pointing to the tall blue-haired girl who was now blushing.
"Aw man, Rie ended up in this scene too!" Haruko and Moemi screamed in unison.
"Stop breaking the fourth wall! You do realize it took so much work repairing the other three!"
Setsuna kicked Rie, who then flew up and away.
"Well, at least it got so animated in here that harmless flying kicks became possible."
She flipped her hair.
"At least cartoon people get healed in the very next scene at times like this."

Soon enough, all four girls have picked out their swimsuits.
Moemi's was a tankini, black-and-white and checkered, just like the hairpins she wore on her pigtails.
"This is perfect!", she said, smiling to Haruko.
Haruko did have a petite complexion, so a bikini didn't look the least suggestive on her.
It was a flowery-patterned pink, with ruffles of soft cloth on the trim.
"Both our swimsuits are perfect!" Haruko smiled.
Looking the other way, they saw... Setsuna and Rie.
Rie was now just wearing a black speedo one-piece with small, lighting-green details on it.
"What ever happened to your first swimsuit...?" mocked Haruko, but with curiosity.
"A-are you kidding?" Rie stammered.
"I couldn't possibly go out in the sun, in public wearing that other thing I wore!"
"...yet you still volunteered to give the program's viewers some canon fanservice?" everyone thought of Rie's odd ways...
Setsuna was wearing something quite off-putting; a red-and-white-striped... diving suit.
"I found Waldo!" Haruko yelled and pointed.
"...heh... heh..."
"And... just what is Setsuna wearing!?" Moemi asked.
Setsuna blushed.
"Oh... c-come on, it was the only thing here that didn't make me feel... s-so totally embarrassed!"
..."Sometimes I have to wonder if Setsuna really is less girly than Rie..."

"We're finally at the pool!"
It was a perfect day, the sky was a clear, solid blue all across.
It was only May, so it wasn't as crowded as the heavy summer, but the water already looked inviting.
The four were setting up in an umbrella'd corner.
"So. How well exactly do you swim?" Moemi asked. She never exactly knew that about her friends before.
"I can doggy paddle. I learned naturally when I was a kid!" Haruko mimicked a doggy paddle with her hands like paws.
"You do seem like the type!" Moemi said.
"Well, I'm on the school's swim team." Rie said.
"Wow... Rie must be really good!" Moemi thought.
"I can swim... just not... great." she said.
"I tire out really quick... but I can go really deep underwater though!"
Moemi thought of looking up while she was at the bottom of a clear pool. She couldn't wait to see the serene sight again this summer.
"How about you, Setsuna?" she asked.
The girl with hair like water waves jolted.
"Um... actually..." she muttered.
"N-nobody in my entire family can swim."
She then felt guilty from using her family because she knew they also couldn't swim.
"Aww." the other three said softly.
"I can teach you!" Moemi did a big smile.
"I love teaching people things! It's just that usually, there's nothing I'm capable of teaching people!"
"I wanna help too!" Haruko and Rie also said.
Setsuna felt touched, but forced herself to say
"O-oh man... you guys..."
The other three girls laughed.

"Setsuna-kun! You now have to refer to all three of us as "sensei"!"
Rie blowed a whistle with her fingers.
"Wow, you can whistle through your fingers?" Haruko seemed amused.
"Teach me, senseiiii!" she grabbed onto Rie.
"One lesson at a time, Haruko! We're teaching Setsuna to swim!"
Moemi stood by Setsuna's side.
"Okay. You pretty much... act like a dog, but pose like a dolphin... but pretend to be a ballerina... and think about playing soccer at the same time. Only there's no ball. But pretend there's a bee behind you-"
Setsuna screamed.
"...well, I see you got the pretending there's a bee thing... good."
*awkward end of part 1*
COMING UP NEXT IN PART TWO:
Moemi: A beach party? What's gonna happen then?
Haruko: Aah, and don't forget that FUN water slide!
Moemi: Haruko, that thing is HUGE! We're gonna go on it?
Rie: I hope there'll be dancing! Or swimming races?
Moemi: And food...
Rie: What if this turns into a POOLSIDE EPIC?
Moemi: The adventures of Setsuna, alone in the middle of the pool! ...s-sorry...
Setsuna: Why am I always the butt of jokes? : A :
Haruko: *Pats Setsuna.*
Moemi and Rie: You were imagining us on TV, weren't you?
Rie: Haha, that will never happen, because we're not epic enough

Setsuna was wearing something quite off-putting; a red-and-white-striped... diving suit.
"I found Waldo!" Haruko yelled and pointed.
Even though it's not quite as beautifully written as previous episodes of NnN, I loved the more comedy-esque scenarios. Though I do hope that aside from this and probably the part two of it, there is no longer fourth-wall breaking and so much comedy ^^'
I wanna draw the NnN girls in their swimsuits~
